I'm a PhD in Ecology, graduated at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, Brazil. My research embrances a wide range of organisms and topics within ecology (mainly population ecology, community ecology, and evolution). I also like to do connections between seemingly unrelated topics (e.g., ecology and epidemiology, macroecology and macroevolution).

These are important pictures that summarize my career. Nowadays I'm working with marine organisms (and I realy like the illustrations by Ernst Haeckel).
I already worked with small mammals (like this opposum [Didelphis albiventris]) and with terrestrial ecosystems, such as mosaics of forests and grassland (the tree canopy picture). I also show a timeline of research in ecology and evolution (from McGill et al. 2019, GEB), a research field that I really like. |
